Sea Moss FAQ

Sea Moss FAQ

We've put together answers to the questions our customers ask most often about our sea moss products. If you have a personal health question, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Using Sea Moss Gel (Jarred)

How much sea moss gel should I take daily?

We recommend 1–2 tablespoons per day. This applies to all of our infused gel varieties (Pineapple, Watermelon, Blueberry, Strawberry, Mango, and Purple) as well as our plain Sea Moss Gel.

Can I eat sea moss gel straight from the jar?

Yes — our gels are ready to eat as-is. You can take your daily serving directly by spoon, or stir it into food and drinks (see recipe ideas below).

What are some easy ways to add gel to my diet?

Sea moss gel blends smoothly into almost anything. Popular options include:

  • Smoothies & shakes — add 1–2 tablespoons and blend as usual
  • Tea or coffee — stir in while the drink is warm
  • Juices — mix directly or blend briefly
  • Soups & broths — stir in at the end of cooking (the gel acts as a natural thickener)
  • Oatmeal or yogurt — fold in before serving
  • Jams & spreads — blend in for extra body
  • Desserts — use as a natural gelatin substitute

Using Sea Moss Capsules

What is in the Sea Moss Capsules?

Our Sea Moss Capsules contain three organic ingredients: Irish Moss, Bladderwrack, and Burdock Root.

How do I take the capsules?

Follow the serving directions printed on your capsule label. Take them with a full glass of water. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition, please consult your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement.

Making Gel from Dried Sea Moss

Can I make my own gel from your dried sea moss?

Yes. Here is how:

  1. Rinse: Place the dried sea moss in a bowl of spring or alkaline water. Gently massage to remove any visible debris, then drain and repeat. Never use tap water.
  2. Soak: Cover completely with fresh spring or alkaline water and soak at room temperature for 12–24 hours.
  3. Blend: Drain and transfer to a blender with 1 cup of water. Add up to 1 more cup if needed. Blend for 1–3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Set: Pour into a sealed glass container or mason jar and refrigerate. The gel will thicken within 2 hours.

Storage

How should I store sea moss gel?

Keep all jarred gels and homemade gel in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Always use a clean spoon to serve.

How long does sea moss gel last?

  • Refrigerator: Up to 1 month
  • Freezer: Up to 3 months

If you make a large batch of gel from dried sea moss, freeze extra portions in an ice-cube tray for convenience.

How should I store dried sea moss and Irish Moss Powder?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in an airtight container. Refrigeration is not required but can extend shelf life.
